Rock Type

Another of the 18 types of Pokemon is Rock type. Pokemon who are of Rock type are generally solid. Pokemon of rock type usually have a high defence, however this high defence is negated with a 4x weaknesses to both Grass and Water, whose moves are often classed as special type.

Rock pokemon attack is super effective against fire, ice, flying and bug types. However, rock pokemon are weak to water, grass, fighting, ground and steel types.

There are several notable Rock-type trainers without the various pokemon platforms. Some of these are:

·      Brock – Pewter City gym leader

·      Roxanne – Rustboro City gym leader

·      Roark – Oreburgh City gym leader

·      Grant – Cyllage City gym leader
